Of all the unique opportunities that come along in Williston, this was different.
With the help of some pep grants, Williston High School became the first district in the state to implement Skate Pass, a physical education class centered on skateboarding.
It was pretty interesting seeing both teachers with full pads and helmets while 280-pound, built-for-football students looked scared to death to stand on one.
It was a pretty neat assignment, really. Part of me left wishing I had alternative gym classes in high school.
I never did like running.
