Red state, Blue state, Oil state
While I’m beyond tired of T.V. political advertisements the past week in North Dakota has been interesting when it comes to the election.
President Barack Obama has no chance here but a Democrat U.S. Senate candidate has made the open seat race extremely close.
Heidi Heitkamp has kept things so close to Republican candidate Rick Berg that the state has become a place where Democrats could actually score a victory. The seat was vacated by a Democrat so it is possible.
I went to the polls this morning and found lines out the door. Apparently people here are really buying into this being the “election of a lifetime” as some local Republicans have put it.
I had the chance to talk to both Senate candidates over the weekend which was interesting. One was extremely impressive, one wasn’t so much.
It’ll be interesting to see how things turn out tonight into tomorrow in all races.
