Big Ten Road Trip 1: Boiled Over

Made a trip to my first Big Ten basketball game and watched NIU get demolished 96-34 by Purdue. Ouch!

Fun trip overall though. The Purdue campus was amazing especially when compared to NIU. The crowd wasn’t even close either.

This was especially cool considering one of nation’s top players, Robbie Hummel returned after missing all of last season—he scored 21 points in just 20 minutes.

Out at Memorial Stadium in Champaign today to cover the Illinois-Michigan football game.

Rest of the Big Ten Road Trip: Illinois-Michigan football (Today), NIU-Iowa basketball (Thursday, Nov. 17), and Northwestern-Minnesota football (Saturday, Nov. 19).
