Boys of Fall…in Spring

Spring football returned to NIU on Tuesday. As usual it was raining and cold a huge change from yesterday’s 60-degree day.

After a record setting season I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Huskies and what I saw was a team that quite intense and physical. Good to see they won’t settle.

It was also the first practice for new head coach Dave Doeren after replacing Jerry Kill, who jumped ship to Minnesota after a loss in the Mid-American Championship game.

Probably provided a little more motivation this season for NIU I’m sure.

I also ended up writing an article from practice, which you can find here.
