This past weekend was all about NIU sports for me, actually, that was just my Saturday.
In one day alone I shot NIU football, then soccer, and wrapped up the night with hockey.
I had a minor settings battle with my camera at the football game mainly due to the intense sunlight beaming down on the field, but a lucky moment on a Willie Clark catch made it all better.
Soccer gave me zero fits except my 80-200 could only cover half the field. NIU was facing top-ranked Akron and lost 1-0. One of its best goal chances came in the middle image when Juan Hoyos almost booted one in while on the ground.
Finally came hockey, which was the first hockey game I’ve ever shot. The glass was dirty which it made it tough to get sharp images but the f/2.8 help immensely. The Huskies were throttled 7-5, as was this NIU player.
